The website Forum is hosted by the City of Melbourne. The City of Melbourne is committed to protecting your privacy. The personal information we collect from you when you register and participate in the Forum includes your full name, website username, contact details, gender, residential suburb and age.
 
The personal information that you provide via this website is being collected to:
-          Assist in the development of the youth safety plan;
-          Compile de-identified information for City of Melbourne to utilise for research and to understand and work to improve safety in the city;
-          To communicate with you via your contact details regarding youth issues (if you have agreed); and
-          Customise and personalise your use of the website Forum.
 
Apart from your website username, any personal information will be reviewed and modified to remove personal information (de-identified) before it can be viewed by other participants.
 
If you do not provide the mandatory personal information for the above purposes, you will be unable to participate in the Forum. 
 
The Flicks Competition
As a condition of entry to the Flicks Competition, all individuals appearing in the video will be required to submit a signed consent form, declaring they are 18 years old or over and authorising the City of Melbourne to use, at its own discretion, any film and sound recordings of the individual that relate to their participation in the Competition.
 
All videos submitted will be reviewed by City of Melbourne staff to ensure compliance with the stipulated terms and conditions. Videos deemed compliant will be posted to the Forum website, myspace and youtube.
 
Security of your information
The Forum uses technology to prevent, as far as is reasonably possible, any unauthorised access, modification or disclosure of your personal information.  However, be aware that there are risks in transmitting information across the internet. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us online and individuals do so at their own risk. Once any personal information comes into our possession, we will take reasonable steps to protect that information from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
